"Why Vegans Were Right All Along", or a meat-eater... →
Good article. Excerpts (emphasis added):
“Within as little as 10 years, the world will be faced with a choice: arable farming either continues to feed the world’s [livestock] animals or it continues to feed the world’s people. It cannot do both.”
“Many of those who have begun to understand the finity of global grain production have responded by becoming vegetarians....

Right, so apparently today is the day that two music professors are doing a live performance of cheesy electro-jazz/tropicalia arrangements of Christmas songs in the lobby at my work.
This is not to say I don’t recognize their talent…it’s just that, you know, I kinda had my heart set on blasting Slayer all day.
Alright boys, bring on the fake pan flute solos and pre-programmed...

I woke up this morning to some strange sounds coming from outside my room. I could hear people arguing, and it sounded like a physical confrontation, but the garbage truck was going by at the same time and in my early-morning haze it was hard to differentiate sounds.
However, after a minute of this, I started to get the impression that one of my roommates was beating his girlfriend. I’m...

swaybe answered your question: Why have I been in such a terrible mood all day?
Not enough broccoli.
HAHA the funny thing is that I was thinking the same thing myself. I just ate pretty poorly today because of how getting stuck at work screwed my day up, so at one point a couple of hours ago I actually thought to myself, “I wish I had some broccoli, but I’m all out…”

I wasn’t even supposed to be at work today, but today was the day that everything there decided to malfunction so I spent almost 10 hours fixing (or trying to fix) things and finally pre-screening a film that came in late.
And apparently many others have had this sort of experience. What is with this day?

blake500 answered your question: Why have I been in such a terrible mood all day?
It’s a weird day for everyone. I guess the govt. is sending strange radio frequencies around to disrupt our brainwaves?
This might explain why, when I heard “Don’t Fear the Reaper” on the radio while running errands during rush hour, I had to pull out my iPod and listen to it six more times.
(I...
